Info is finally here yo!

Winter Wakeskate Wonderland is in its fourth year, and this time around we have planned the best yet. Taking place once again on the Sunshine Coast of QLD, skaters from all over Aus will be coming together for 3 days of pure wakeskating. This year we have introduced a mass game of SKATE and the inaugral Obscura Winch Park Contest. Add these to the existing annual Cable Comp, tinny riding, camping at Suncoast Cable, free dinners & a heap of free-riding, and you have another Wakeskate Wonderland. Did we mention that we will be joined once again by Obscura Wakeskates manager Aaron Reed and his team rider Travis Doran?

Lock the dates in: Friday 19th - Sunday 21st August 2011.

We will meet at Suncoast Cable at 9am on Friday for a 2 hour wakeskaters-only session, followed by the GoRide knockout SKATE comp and free-riding all day. On Saturday morning at 9am we are running the Cable Comp heats - to once again be run in a jam-style (time-allocation, whole run counts). We are running a Pro and Amateur division, but are stoked to announce we are bringing back the GIRLS division! As a bonus, all girls competing in the Cable Comp this year do so for FREE. Saturday 11am - 3pm is free-riding, and 3pm kicks off the finals for the Cable Comp. Based on rider feedback, this year we are bringing the finals format back to 'one rider on the lake at a time'. Sunday morning brings another wakeskate-only session, followed by the first Obscura Winch Park Contest (and free-riding all day). This best-trick contest will also include a Pro (gap & hubbas) and Amateur (gap only) division.

Cash and prizes are up for grabs in all 3 comps, and giveaways will no doubt take place over the weekend.

We are also once again offering one-on-one wakeskate coaching clinics with Aaron & Travis. For $40 you will get a solid half-hour of coaching from some of the worlds best. You will get line-priority if you would prefer to ride on the cable, or you may have your clinic on the GoRide. Clinics will be available from Wednesday 17th through to Sunday 21st August - email paul@wakeskate.com.au to book your spot.

We are also stoked to announce that this year we have worked to bring the cost down for everyone. You get a 3-day cable pass, GoRide pass, wakekate-only sessions pass, tinny ride pass, entry into all events, camping and dinner on both nights - all for $270. Entry fee is payable by cash only and on the day. Please Note we will not be taking part-payments if you cannot attend for the whole 3 days, and members of Suncoast Cable do not get a discount, as we still need to pay for you. Be sure to bring cash with you as you will not be able to get on the water until you are registered and have the correct wrist-band.

In order to drop the cost we will not be supplying all meals this year - only dinner on the 2 nights. Food will be available at the Cable Cafe or you may bring your own.

No need to pre-register for WWW, just show up at 9am on Friday 19th August with your entry fee and you're sweet for the 3 days. See you all there!
