Build one dude. The most expensive part is the engine, so find one thats reliable but a good price and the rest is pretty cheap to source out. Heck the first winch I made with tyboss cost me 200 bucks. Mind u that was made from a shopping cart trolley frame and an engine from my old go kart :P.

Where did you get the rope from? Did you use a tav2 or anything like that?

Just lurk ebay for the rope, it got non stretch dyneema (4mm) for 60 cents a meter which is pretty cheap. And the first 2 winches I built had c/clutches and the last one had a torque converter. Trust me, put in the extra money and get a torque converter
