“I arrived at Good Times Marine for my first look at the new TriXsta models with an expectation what I thought the boat would be like and when I saw them they were easily better in the flesh than what I had ever expected. My first ride in Port Hacking was behind the TriXsta 39 which I would say is the best tinnie I have ever wakeskated behind. The tower is a positive change from traditional mounting points. It gives more pop and handle control due to a solid mount as opposed to the movement in bridle rigs and provides an all round better feeling.” Read More>>

Wakeskate.com.au in partnership with Trixsta Boats, Liquid Force, Wake Magazine, I Ride Sideways, Cables Wake Park Penrith and wake.com.au presents the first annual 2K JAM, to take place from the 14th to the 16th May 2010.

We are proud to bring a jam-style wakeskate event to Sydney, and look forward to welcoming skaters from all over the country. It is a perfect opportunity to meet other riders and learn new tricks in a free ride situation, as well as experience a variety of riding options including Cable, Boat Sets and Winching. We are also giving away a Liquid Force Obscura wakeskate to one lucky rider at the end of the weekend.

The event will be held over three days. Friday will involve riding all day at Cables Wake Park Penrith and staying at the on-site accommodation that night. The evening can be spent at Panthers (just across the road) or chilling out in the Cables cabins. Saturday morning we head to a private beach location on the Hawkesbury River and ride all day behind the all-new Chris Kallas pro model TRIXSTA tinnies. We will be camping on site Saturday night and heading to a secret location for a winch session on Sunday.

The cost for the 3 days is $170. This covers riding at Cables on Friday and accommodation on Friday night, as well as riding and lunch on Saturday and campsite fees for Saturday night, and the winch session on Sunday. Click here for more information and to Register.

The Wakeskating market in Australia has grown considerably since coming onto the scene in 2005/06 and can now count itself as a stand alone tow sport in Australia. The numbers of wakeskaters has steadily increased and websites dedicated to the sport have popped up online. In response to this, Trxista, a dedicated wakeskating tinnie will be launched in April 2010.

The Trixsta range will be available in a 3.95 and 4.2 metre version called the Trixsta 39 and 42 respectively and has been designed in conjunction with 5 times Australian Champion Wakeskater, Chris Kallas. Thanks riders for being so patient, now we finally have some info set in stone for you all. We have changed a few things around and will not be running the boat section this time due to the venue we were trying to get not being available. As we have said a number of times this event is very laid back and we are trying to make it as cheap as possible! We will be camping at the Farm which is near Noosa on the first night then at Cody’s slider park on the Saturday night, so make sure you bring your tents or swags. Food or drinks will not be provided so bring some change along to buy some tucker. We will all meet at Suncoast cable at 7:30am on Friday so if you don’t have a car don’t stress, we can car pool to the spots we ride. Click here for more info.
