Trunk Junk Quarterly Issue 2 is here, and it is absolutely mind-blowing. The boys over at TJQ have killed it once again and produced one of my now-favourite magazines. Not only is the content and imagery amazing, but there is a whole 8 pages dedicated solely to wakeskating - featuring photos of a handful of Australian riders that all frequent this website. Click here for more info.

wakeskate.com.au, together with Obscura Wakeskates and DVS Shoes are proud to bring you the second annual Summer Jam.

Wakeskaters from all over Aus will meet on the Sunshine Coast of QLD for 4 days of wakeskate frolicking - with cable, winch, GoRide and tinny riding planned. We have once again worked to ensure Summer Jam is the most cost-effective event on the wakeskate calendar – where anyone can come and go over the 4 days and you pay as you ride.

We are also stoked to announce that Obscura team riders Aaron Reed and Grant Roberts will be joining us for both Summer Jam and Obscura Sessions. This year we are running Summer Jam in conjunction with the final stop of the newly-formed ‘Sessions’ – the wakeskate division of the Liquid Force Rail Jam. Read More

After a successful first 2 rounds, Obscura Sessions is back at Cables Wake Park Penrith on the 5th and 6th of February – followed by the final round on the 18th and 19thof February at Suncoast Cable Watersports on the Sunshine Coast of QLD.

Both events coincide with the Liquid Force Rail Jam and the final round is now a part of the 2ndannual Summer Jam.

We are stoked to announce that Obscura team riders Aaron Reed, Grant Roberts and Stefan Schriever are heading out from the U.S. for BOTH events. They are keen to hang with the Australian skaters and will be helping us judge the events, as well as running one-on-one wakeskate clinics for riders in both locations. Read More

The Wakeskate Store is located in Bendigo, Victoria, but ships Australia wide.

The whole range of Goodwood Wakeskates is in stock ready to go plus there are more brands on the way.

Also, keep and eye out for T-shirts, Hoodies, Stickers and the super cheap and super cool Midwest Shades. I started the store so that I could get involved and help support the companies that are pushing the sport in the right directions. Visit www.thewakeskatestore.com.au

Remote Australia. What can we say, we love this crew and what they are brining to the sport of wakeskateing. Liquid Force and wakeskate.com.au are proud to bring you a new breed of wakeskating competition in Australia.

The skaters spoke, and we listened - the result of which is the birth of 'Obscura Sessions', run by skaters for skaters.

With a completely new judging format and various competitions at each stop, every rider is catered for.

Obscura Sessions 2010/11 sees the introduction of tinny comps, linear cable runs and the King of Kicker rounds, all to be added to the existing Rail Jam competitions. Read More

Wake Mag is all about wakeskating. Why? Because it’s cool, it hard, and taking the back seat while wakeboarding rides up in shot gun isn’t easy. Wakeskater’s are a different breed; they’re always open to new things, exploring new water ways and just pushing the envelope all-round. In this issue, we follow the 2010 2K Jam - three days of skating; boat, winch and cable - with a team of dedicated skaters determined to give wakeskating the growth spurt it deserves.

We also meet rising star Dylan Pridaux; who’s acute focus on building a solid career in wakeboarding will open your eyes. We also touch base with some familiar behind-the-scenes names to find out where the future of Australian wakeboarding talent lies.

We head overseas for the greatest show on earth; the UK’s Relentless Wakestock, then to Germany for the 2010 Cable Worlds.

Throw in some instructionals, fitness tips, along with the latest news from the world of wake and you’ve got yourself the latest issue of Wake Mag.
